Fleeing from family, Xia Mian escapes to a small town where she encounters tattoo artist Zhou Ran. The tattoo shop becomes a source of much-needed warmth and a sense of home for Xia Mian, as Zhou Ran's past gradually comes to light. Facing multiple setbacks and challenges, they work together step-by-step to protect the tattoo shop, which they come to regard as their home, and rename it "Chan Mian" (which means "Tangled Slumber"). Later, Xia Mian is also reconciled with her mother, and Zhou Ran start chasing his dream again.
