Twenty years ago, Lu Baoer and Fu Tingchen signed a celestial marriage contract, bound to fulfill it or face dire consequences—one would perish, and the other would see their life's work destroyed. Two decades later, having mastered her skills, Lu Baoer descends the mountain to find Fu Tingchen and honor their fateful pact. To her surprise, Fu Tingchen dismisses her as a fraud and refuses to marry her. Undeterred, Lu Baoer takes matters into her own hands, dragging him to the marriage registry to tie the knot.
Their union, however, is immediately threatened by the arrival of Lu Baoer's stepsister, Zhao Nansheng, who has long harbored feelings for Fu Tingchen. Consumed by jealousy and resentment at seeing the man she loves marry the stepsister she despises, Zhao Nansheng vows to tear the newlyweds apart, reigniting old grudges and sparking new conflicts.
