lex Lewis is tormented by illness, and his frail body means he can only be with his beloved Mill Cook in his dreams. The family doctor Joe Lewis, aware of Alex's vulnerability, tries to get close to Mill with the intent to manipulate her emotions and control Alex. Eventually, Joe's scheme is exposed, and after overcoming numerous challenges, Alex and Mill triumph over adversity and find happiness together.
