Violet Ross's biological mother, and Aldrich Hamilton's mother were close friends who arranged a marriage between their children. As kids, Violet and Aldrich were close, but after Violet's mother passed away, she was sent to the countryside. Aldrich visited her there and promised to bring her back to the city and marry her. Fifteen years later, Violet marries Aldrich, but he has forgotten their childhood promise and is in love with his savior, Carina Stewart. Aldrich doesn't know that Carina is actually his wife, Violet, who also doesn't know what Aldrich looks like after their childhood separation. Misunderstandings grow, and Aldrich wants a divorce.
