Injured and pursued, Webster hides in Dale's hotel, leading to a one-night stand. Afra discovers it, claims credit for saving Webster, and schemes to marry him. With her mother, Carol, she blackmails Dale using her sister's medical bills and buys out Dale's company, leaving her jobless. When Afra tries to humiliate Dale, Webster intervenes and notices Dale seems familiar. Later, he finds his lost ring from their night together in her luggage.
