Megan, captain of “City United,” learns the team will disband for financial reasons. She writes “WE WON’T DISBAND” on the board, and they launch a crowdfunding campaign. Tom, a retired worker, mortgages his house and donates £20,000. Fans contribute, and Tom wins naming rights, renaming the team “Fans United.” Training in a park without a coach or medical staff, Megan leads the team. They finish second and secure promotion, but the FA demands a stadium and youth academy within three months. They gather 100,000 signatures, and the FA grants an exception.
