Disguised goblin Grin gets a basement job at Oasis Energy, where he repairs discarded office parts using a unique ability to “read” their histories. Applying the same skill to the company’s finances, he turns losses into profit. As coworkers discover and support him, the basement becomes a community repair hub. Though illness threatens him, Grin finds belonging—not by hiding who he is, but by proving that broken things, and people, can be made whole again.
